Development Team for X-Plane
We’ve had a few requests for a preview film highlighting the work on the exterior model.
As a sendoff to the new year which promises to be a good one for XP Jets, we’ve decided to put together a little film featuring the new 777.
I’ll let the film do the talking.

Great video, great looking plane. I was just wondering if the wing flexes during turbulence, or when taxing on the runway et cetera. Thanks for your answers, let’s hope for a quick release.

The wing flex is currently tied to total lift so yes, there is a little bounce during turbulence. You can see it if you look carefully at the end of the Emirates sequence. We’d like to add some g effects as well but will do so in the plugin to get the physics right for the situation.

Great Job you guys! It’s mind blowing how amazing your planes are! After watching the film about 10x or so wiping up the drool, I still am in total awe and amazement. Thanks for all your efforts, time and energies. This definitely goes down as THE best aircraft. Anxiously awaiting the release. Thanks again for sharing!

Great preview ! By the way the video doesnt show the 777-300. Is the 773 in the project ? If yes, then any news on the development of the 777-300/300er ?

this is a REALLY terrific work, thats awesome ! I almost got tears out of my eyes ! I can’t wait to touch this bird for the first time, really really impresive ! Great airplane, great airports, great music = great vid !
By the way, where did you find those LAX, DUB and LHR sceneries (I saw they’re from FS builders), could you mail me the convertion you had at my adress ? They look really cool in XP !

This is simply mind blowingly amazing work! I can’t say enough praise. I have been an X-Planner since 2004 and would only dream of such a great design. you folks are truly talented and are among the best-of-the-best in design for the X-Plane community. I too will be anxiously awaiting the release of these great birds.
Also,as Luc Derollez mentioned and requested, could you kindly send me the converted FS built LAX, DUB, and LHR for X-Plane please? Those do compliment your aircraft quite nicely and I am programingly DUMB when it comes to doing conversions of scenery. Could you please send the converted files to my email address at [email protected] please. Thanks again for your hard work. WONDERFUL JOB!!!!!
WOW what a great video. I am so glad that you guys are spending the time you are on this aircraft to make it top notch.

By the way because this is the exterior model video will there be an interior model video, but please don’t bother if there isn’t one
I would say this exterior model really represent the highly 3D model skill of XP Jets team. Hopping that the avionic can also be as good as the 3d model. We really need a level-d add-on for Xplane to prove and show this platform’s advantages.

First off, love the video. And hardly can’t wait for it to come out. But Recently I discovered an article in her called “compromises” that says it will be payware? Is there any reason why It couldn’t be donateware? Any way you guys kind of sealed off the people who can’t pay to get this beautiful acf from the rest. But thanks for all your hard work on an XPJ perfection

@Luc, mrdrummajor, airbusguy380, and anyone else asking for the scenery:
We can’t post or distribute the conversions in any way without first confirming that you have purchased the MSFS source scenery. Even then it’s technically a copyright infringement, and thus we’d rather not get involved. As long as you obtain the scenery through legal means the conversion is fairly straightforward and we can attempt to walk you through it if we’re having difficulty, but we’re not going to take food off the MSFS scenery developers’ tables.

Unfortunately, donationware is not an option at this point. The three of us have already put over a year’s worth of labor into the plane, and quite frankly we would be severely undercutting the X-Plane add-on market were we to release the 777 as donationware or low-cost payware. X-Plane’s long-term viability as a successful sim platform depends on its ability to sustain a quality third-party payware add-on market, and we feel that the 777 will be part of the forefront of that market upon its release. We outlined our reasons fairly rationally in our post entitled “Compromises” which you have already read. As we stated then, we’re not out to rob the community, and we will do our best to ensure that the bird is available at a reasonable price point for the features included.
Dhruv, actually I’ve got the sceneries from MSFS but the conversion I’ve got from FS2Xplane are far far away from being yours … Maybe you could help ?

I totally understand. I was merely asking under the assumption that the scenery to begin with was freeware like the majority of the X-Plane community’s. Please disregard my request. If I purchase the MSFS scenery in the future)
That vid is a-freaking awesome…can’t believe the quality XP can actually produce. When this comes out, this will be my first and probably only payware acft unless u guys come up with more ;)!!

I just started looking at most of your older posts, and there are a lot of planes that you mentioned to which I don’t know the outcome to. You mentioned making a 757, A340, A321, A319, Cessna 172, and 777. I don’t know where these plane ended up, because I thought you were only making a 777 right now. Are you guys still working on all of these planes?

What other liveries are you planning to do for this amazing jet? Are you going to have the same airlines as the first 777 or will there be more or less? If you do an Air France livery will it be the new one or the old one? When it is released will it come with all the liveries or just the one that you bought it with? Anyways it is a great plane and I am glad that you guys are spending the time on it that you are.
How much will this cost?
